The Process
The Brief
Ducat Protocol is an innovative cryptocurrency company that has developed a stablecoin on the Bitcoin blockchain. They approached us to create an engaging product video for their platform’s launch, one of their key aims was to present the technology in a detailed yet accessible way so as to appeal to both crypto experts and new investors, offering insights into the platform’s features while maintaining a sleek, high-tech style.Â
One of the first things David (CEO of Ducat) expressed to us, was that they were inspired by the clean, polished look of an Apple presentation, so our goal was to deliver a modern, professional video that effectively showcased the cutting-edge nature of their product.
The execution
From the outset, we decided to film in a cyclorama— a large, white, seamless room often referred to as an “infinity room.” This choice aligned with our vision of a clean, minimalist aesthetic, creating a neutral backdrop that would allow us to seamlessly integrate vibrant motion graphics alongside the speakers, enhancing their message.
The Ducat team provided a script, and through multiple pre-production meetings, we carefully planned how to film the speakers, deciding where to introduce motion graphics that would complement the live-action shots. We also discussed which graphics would become full-screen elements and ensured they stayed on-brand with Ducat’s identity, making the video instantly recognizable and synonymous with their brand.
Our two-day production focused on capturing the three core members of Ducat. We aimed to maintain clean lighting and a minimalist design throughout, ensuring that everything stayed true to the company’s vision. We also filmed additional coverage and plates for post-production.
In post-production, we worked closely with our motion graphics artist to translate the complex subject matter into clear, easy-to-understand visuals. It was essential to not only simplify the technology but also showcase Ducat’s product interface in a stylized, dynamic way that brought it to life.
Once the edit and motion graphics were finalized, we completed the sound design, adding music and sound effects to enhance the graphical elements and support Ducat’s narrative.
The final video was a success and was launched on Ducat’s X.com page. It effectively summarized the platform and highlighted the incredible work Ducat is doing.
